No. Serene Suite does not offer keratin because of the formaldehyde used in it. This is a protein smoothing treatment that uses no formaldehyde at any stage.
Does a protein treatment damage hair?
It is a strengthening treatment rather than a chemical straightener, so it smooths and reinforces the hair. Your stylist checks the condition of your hair first, particularly if it has been lightened.
How long does a hair protein treatment last?
Usually around two months, depending on your hair type, how often you wash it and the products you use. A sulphate-free shampoo helps it last longer.
Will it make my hair completely straight?
No. It reduces frizz and makes hair smoother and easier to manage day to day. It is not a permanent straightening service.
